21 Steps to Better Health

 

21 STEPS TO BETTER HEALTH!!

 

1.      ACKNOWLEDGE that your health, isn’t all that it ought to be or that you would like it to be.  When you acknowledge what level of health you possess right now, you can better determine the path you need to take in order to achieve optimal health.

2.      DESIRE better health with a passion!  When you are passionate about having better health, you will have an easier time doing the things that support healthy living, and a much better chance of achieving it!!

3.      SATUATE YOUR MIND with information that will encourage and support the diet change you are about to make – from books, audios, videos, DVD’s and other education materials.  Understanding how your body works and what it needs to be healthy will help you stay on track to do the things you must do for optimal health.

4.      PREPARE your kitchen for that change!  Organize your refrigerator, pantry, cabinets and cupboards so what you see first are all the items that support you and your new lifestyle.

5.      OBTAIN the living food, BARLEY MAX, a good juicer, etc. that will help The Hallelujah Diet integrate into your life.  When you have everything you need to follow the diet right at our fingertips, it will be much easier and convenient to do the lifestyle needed.

6.      REMOVE all bad foods from the kitchen!! Get rid of the meat and dairy products, processed foods and other bits of the SAD so you will be less tempted to follow that way of eating.

7.      SET A START DATE!  You do not need to wait until the next “new year” to start – set your resolution NOW and start preparing.

8.      START A JOURNAL and list all of our known physical problems, no matter how minor they are, before making the diet change.  Then list all the changes you experience while on this lifestyle.  When you begin to see the pattern of positive changes, you will be inspired to keep going.

9.      THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS concerning the lifestyle changes because these are absolutely necessary if you want to be successful.  Positive thoughts will give you strength in the face of adversity, and empower you further when you see your body beginning to self-heal.

10.HAVE BREAKFAST which consists of BarleyMax only!!  Consuming the recommended serving of BarleyMax will give you the nutrients your body needs so you can start your day on the right foot – a healthy one!  You may need to put it into a shake with veggie juice and rice protein for a really “full meal.”

11.REPLACE YOUR MID-MORNING coffee and donuts with an 8-ounce glass of freshly extracted carrot/veggie juice.  This will boost your energy and keep you going with real fuel until lunch.

14.DINE ON A SUPPER of BarleyMax first off.  Then follow with a large rainbow salad (consisting of several different colours).  This can be followed by a cooked meal of a baked potato, whole-grain brown rice, steamed veggies, whole grain pasta, baked sweet potato, squash, or a whole heap of recipes out there.  This is the only cook meal of the day. **

15.MAKE YOUR EVENING SNACK a piece of fresh raw fruit.  Fruit contains water, nutrients, and natural sugars, making it a perfect substitute for any pre-packaged snack.

16.EXERCISE, because it is as important as a good diet.  Begin by going for a walk and slowly increase your walking speed and distance with each passing day.  Not only will you get toned, gain strength and increase endurance, you will also help rid our body of toxins.

17.NOTE ANY MILD DETOXIFICATION symptoms that may occur.  If you experience headaches, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, nausea, diarrhea, etc. this is GOOD news – your body is telling you that it is releasing accumulated toxins from the system!

18.NOTICE THE INCREASED ENERGY, which is usually the first positive improvement you will experience after making the diet change.  Take advantage of it by exercising longer or more vigorously, learning more about health and nutrition, or sharing the benefits you’ve gained with others.

19.RECORD in your journal any detoxification symptoms as well as physical problems previously listed as they go away.  Use these entries as encouragement to keep doing what you are doing – getting healthy.

20.LET US NOT BE WEARY in well doing!!  Never give up.  If you stumble, record it, be thankful for it and get back up and keep going.

21.CONGRATULATE YOURSELF- you are well on your way to enjoying optimal health.  Have a gratitude attitude – for the blessings and opportunity to even KNOW about good health!

 

**Some people find it better for them to have their cooked meal at noon.  This is just fine.  Then have a nice salad, veggie juice, etc. in the evening followed by fruit, nuts, etc.
